Healing Through Energy
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress-reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing on a spiritual, emotional, mental and physical level. It is a non-intrusive, complementary health approach in which a practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above a person, with the goal of facilitating the person’s own natural healing ability.
Using various hand positions, practitioners tend to apply the life force energy (Chi, Ki, Prana) to the body’s main energy points known as chakras. Each chakra also covers each of the major organs that the healing energy flows to. Minor chakras can be found on the soles of the feet and the palms of the hands.
